Fish Hoek is a coastal town in False Bay, in the Cape Peninsula, South Africa. The name Fish Hoek can be translated to Fish corner, Fish Glen or Fish hook. No matter which water activities you prefer most, in Fish Hoek you can choose from surfing, body boarding, swimming, sailing, fishing and whale and dolphin watching. The Right Southern Whale makes its appearance at least once a year, while the thousands of seals play in the waters all year around. The warm Indian Ocean water attracts swimmers and surfers from around the Peninsula and the close by Muizenberg shark spotters keep watch for any Great Whites entering the False Bay territory and posing possible danger.
